PHello,
I’m seeking legal guidance or pro bono support for a family inheritance issue under the Hindu Succession Act.My late mother owned a flat solely in her name, which I currently occupy. After her passing, her nominee (my father) accessed her bank funds without disclosing details to other legal heirs. Jewelry and other assets were also misused or gifted away without consent. I have no access to her account records and attempts to communicate are met with intimidation.
I’m a Class I heir, currently unemployed, and unable to afford a lawyer. I need help protecting my residence, accessing my rightful share of the estate, and filing a legal notice or civil suit if required.
Any guidance on civil remedies, or referrals to free legal aid (DLSA, law school clinics, or pro bono lawyers/students) would be deeply appreciated. Keeping this anonymous due to sensitivity.
