January 13, 2025 at 3:02 pmI need your advice on this situation. In 2022, I purchased 25,000 unlisted shares through 3adeal. However, due to several reasons at the time (including moving out of India), I didn’t submit the required documents despite receiving multiple follow-ups from 3adeal. When I reached out to them in 2024 to inquire about the status of my purchase, I received no response. Recently, I contacted them again, provided the necessary documents, and asked for an update.
Currently, the value of the shares has risen to ₹11.2. 3adeal now claims that they tried to contact me until 2023 but didn’t receive a response from my side, which is accurate. However, they are now offering only two options:
1. A refund of the amount I initially paid, or
2. Allocation of shares at the current price (2,700 shares @ ₹11.2 per share, as opposed to the 25,000 shares @ ₹1.2 per share that I originally purchased).Agreeing to either of these options would result in a significant loss for me. While I acknowledge that I didn’t communicate effectively or submit the documents in time, I believe that if 3adeal intended to reject my allocation due to missing documents, they should have informed me of this earlier and facilitated a refund instead of remaining unresponsive.
I am now requesting the allocation of the original 25,000 shares at the price I purchased them for (₹1.2 per share). Would this be a reasonable and fair request? Please advise
Thank you
