UI am a tenant who lives on 3rd floor of a 28 story building. I have a 650 sq.ft balcony which is open & uncovered.
My issue is, the flats above keep throwing water, cigarettes, sometimes even stuff like used condoms & sanitary pads. There have been instances of welding sparks & even broken glass being thrown into our balcony.
Every time we raise it on the society group, the management cries about how people behave uneducated & uncivilised. That’s the end!!
I want to cover this balcony but the issue is municipality & society management who doesn’t permit it. But all other flats with similar balconies in neighbouring buildings have it covered. I have a 4 years old daughter & she has been raised in this house, every-time we talk about moving, she doesn’t agree to it. We have paid the owner a heavy deposit of 15 lacks & we pay 20,000 rent per month. We are also in conversation with the owner for purchase of this house.
What could be my steps ahead to get the balcony covered?

UStep 1- Ask them why you cant cover your Balcony ?
Step 2 – State your reasons for why you need to cover your balcony also in writing and email.
Step 3 – if the management replies with reasons in writing then good you can take legal step towards them to amend their policies. (I repeat get the reply in writing).
