Hi my friend needs to break his engagement. Eventually found the bride is toxic as well as psychic. For silly reasons she raised sui side threats alond with small cut in hand which is not serious and now he is afraid of real suicide if he break the engagement. How to safely get out of this? Even if she does something he shouldnt be under bars.

Legally you can always file an FIR or a police complaint, that so and so threats have been made in the name of suicide attempt.
However breaking an engagement is quite sensitive, if it can be handled personally and privately, that would be advised. If the condition seems out of hand you can go ahead with the complaint. No action per se will be taken but if she goes on to commit suicide the report will create a defence for you.

Collect evidences, recording, screen record of chats to clarify the things that things are getting turned sour.
Girl can misuse the law by doing FIR under BNS 69 (non bailable offence)
Consult a lawyer ASAP.
