May 8, 2025 at 7:46 amHi everyone,
I’m reaching out for help on behalf of a close friend who’s going through a very tough time. Any advice, support, or leads would mean a lot.Her father passed away when she was a child. She lives with her elder sister, elder brother, and their mother. The sister has been the backbone of the family — she worked tirelessly to make them financially stable, bought a house, a car, and covered most of the family’s expenses. The brother, on the other hand, dropped out of studies due to bad company and only worked at a shop.
Now, the brother is demanding an equal share in the house and property, claiming he needs it to get married. The house was built entirely with the sister’s earnings. She also made it clear she doesn’t support idol worship and doesn’t want it practiced in her home. The brother reacted violently — shouting, abusing all the women in the house (including their elderly mother), and even tried to hit his elder sister. After that incident, he left the house and hasn’t been seen since.
They’re now considering filing a police complaint, but the situation is extremely stressful. Their mother is unwell, hospital bills are piling up, and they are struggling emotionally and financially. My friend wants to help, but she herself is looking for job opportunities or financial aid to support the family.
What we’re looking for:
Legal advice on how to protect the family and ensure the brother doesn’t claim the property he didn’t contribute to
Any NGOs, government schemes, or support groups that help women in distress or assist with hospital bills
Leads for jobs or paid internships (she’s sincere, responsible, and willing to work hard)
Temporary financial aid options or suggestions for where to turn for immediate help
If anyone here knows of support systems or individuals who can assist, please comment or message me directly. Thank you for reading and for any help you can offer.
