February 19, 2025 at 12:00 pmI am 35 Male. My mother got gift deed a house in Bangalore in 2000 by my grandmother (mother’s mother). My dad is no more now. House is in my mother’s name now. I have a sister. We have got agreement done on bond papers on how the property will be divided between me and my sister. Now my concern is, is it possible for my mother to transfer entire property to my sister name without giving me anything? As few say, since this is maternal ancestral property, my mother will be having full rights to transfer property to anyone she wish. Is that true? Or anything I can do in this regard? Please do suggest legally.. Thanks in advance

February 19, 2025 at 12:16 pmActually no. Unless you wish to prove your mother was mentally unstable in court. That too by contesting the will after she’s passed and you challenge the will. Take it easy man. Don’t think your closed ones would betray you. Be positive and if this is not serious please don’t think about it.-
