UHi everyone,
I’m based in Mumbai and recently had an incident where my neighbour vandalised my car following some ongoing disputes.
The incident was captured clearly on CCTV. The footage shows her approaching my parked car and damaging it. I have the original recording saved with timestamps.
In addition to this, there have been prior issues:
1. She has sent abusive and threatening SMS messages to my family.
2. She has also physically assaulted my mother (slapped her) by forcefully entering our home.
The society committee has said that they can arrange a mediation for compensation but they cannot force anyone to pay.
Given this situation, I wanted advice on what should I do next.
We have not engaged further with her after this and want to handle things strictly through legal channels.
Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
