April 6, 2025 at 9:40 amOf late I have been wondering, what use is a notarised rental agreement if it is not considered as a valid, legal document in case a lessee desires to get their address changed in other official documents or records? As far as I have researched, getting a notarised agreement of duration of 11 months registered isn’t either possible or necessary. Shouldn’t a notarised rental agreement function as a proof of residence too for the specified 11 months? -

April 6, 2025 at 9:50 amShould be, but it didn’t work while getting my address updated in Aadhaar 3 years ago. The document I had taken with me was a signed and notarised e-stamp paper.
