I recd an offer from a good firm.
Current org np is 90 days. New firm wants me to join in 30 days. Currently in probation in this firm, on client location, no major workload.
Current org is still not approving early release. New org is aware of 90 days np but asked to negotiate as much as possible and ready to buyout 2 months np from current org.
I have resigned saying family health is critical and new org allows flexibility. Altho this is just an excuse. I also told some critical stuff and manager told the hr can ask all docs like blood reports and all, which i cant provide. Medical certificate is what i can provide saying all other reports are my private domiciles.
I am also ready to pay for remaining period but the manager keeps insisting no early release allowed.
Hr has not called me yet. They told they will inform client and i need not do it.Kindly help me in case they don’t allow me to go in 30 days – do I keep searching or stay on notice ? They are behind me too to find a replacement for same.
So my worries are mainly docs, and them delaying process because they haveny informed the client yet.. resigned 1 april, it is 4 april now. New joining date is around may first week.
Please, your insights would be helpful reddit community!! I am burnt out completely. This work is not even fulfilling. Was hired for evidences checking testing role stuck in a role where main action item is just tracking parts and sharing reports at eod. My mental health is completely gone now. I sometimes feel very bad and lonely on this almost ready to just jump off that building of my office.

April 17, 2025 at 8:49 amTell them you wont be able to share medical records of anyone else except you due to privacy concerns. Get somewhere in writing that original documents are with the firm, get copies of the originals in case you need it. Leave when you want to, and then send a legal notice claiming the original documents that the company has kept in its custody. If the company goes incommunicado or refuses to return the documents, contact a local lawyer file FIRs initiate cases etc etcor
my favourite non legal advice-totally discretionary-you take a dump on the managers desk or find a way to get fired on the spot so they have no excuse not to return the documents. Also, finding a replacement for yourself is not your responsibility unless specified so in your job contract. If you have a copy of the same, I suggest you go through it once again.

April 17, 2025 at 9:02 amThanks.. the dump one is my last resort lmao.They dont have any of my documents but they will not give my relieving letter, neither put exit on my pf..
It will be issue for next company.. its 15 days to my resignation and they are just yelling that no early release possible and all that where it is clearly written in the policy that if senior management approves we can pay in lieu of shortened np, nd also, in case employee stops reporting during notice period after resignation it is management decision to consider separation and then the exit formalities can be completed once money is paid for shortened np..
They are just making it hard for me now..

If they still do so, Send them a mail stating that if they delay in providing any official document required as per Indian constitution then you would take the liberty of using any personal/official/office related Information gained by you during this tenure of any employee/client individual for your personal benefit and will be selling/processing/consuming it in any in any manner possible.-

April 18, 2025 at 7:19 amYeah man like i am even willing to buyout the np but nobody is responding positively from their end, just saying 90 days 90 days.. new employer is also pissed..I think i will have strictly just tell it to hr via mail.. because all my previous mails and calls are not even considered

April 17, 2025 at 8:56 pmSend a resignation mail to them and make it clear you want to quit in 30 days.
Collect all the current payslips and on last day send mail on top of your original mail to your HR head and managers that today’s your last day and you expect the full and final settlement to sent to your address without delay.
Don’t respond in writing to any other mail or sign any document. Make sure you have the latest payslip and first payslip.-

April 18, 2025 at 11:17 amThey can’t do shit on PF. My employer Polaris software labs ltd did the same thing. I didn’t pay and moved out. I got my PF later even though I didn’t have relieving letter.
Print out your last payslip and the email you sent them you are resigning.-
