February 20, 2025 at 8:39 amNot me, but it happened with my friend..
So he booked the ticket in IRCTC app. He didn’t get the first ticket, so he paid and booked another, which he didn’t get even after the payment and he got into the train.(It was the last train for the afternoon 12:20pm, Nxt one was at 5:30pm)When the TC arrived he showed the TID and the booking which was still in progress & the TC says it was not his problem and pay the fine, and he paid.
In the Excess fare ticket, TC wrote 250(fine) plus 20 for ticket fare(Ticket was 10rs).When he asked why he wrote 20, TC said 10 for travelling to the station we’re in and 10 for going to your destination.
Is there anything we can do if we didn’t get refund or if we get the ticket later?

February 20, 2025 at 1:26 pmDid the ticket get booked in the uts app finally? If ticket didn’t get booked then money will be credited back. You can ask for refund if money got debited and ticket not booked. If ticket got booked, nothing much can be done.

February 20, 2025 at 12:36 pmTry contacting customer support on the app first. If that does not work you can try filing consumer complaint.
