February 21, 2025 at 12:09 pmWhile filing ITR for my father in July last year, our CA noticed GST transactions for a firm in Telangana. We are in Delhi. We immediately filed:
– a cybercrime complaint (Status closed, no remarks)
– a complaint with ITR (acknowleged and resolved)
– a greviance with GST (Issue accepted by officer and action initiated). But we still recently got a GST notice. What is our next move?
CA says to go to Telangana and file an FIR. But I am confused.

February 21, 2025 at 12:27 pmYou’ll have to reach out to the local GST assesssing officer of the ward your GST is being used and file an official complaint with him. They’ll take up the matter and issue notices every where concerned.-

February 21, 2025 at 12:34 pmCheck the status of the GST registration on GST portal. Anyone can see. Registration status should be ‘cancelled’. Else send a mail to the jurisdictional officer to cancel it. Beware sometimes the officers are non cooperative and mighty drag you unnecessarily into the investigation-

February 21, 2025 at 12:34 pmNahi. Raising a ticket on the portal goes no where except for technical issues. You’d have to reach out personally and let him know and submit a representation and get that copy marked as received. Cc’d to the Commissioner as well.
Which ward in Hyd is it?-

February 21, 2025 at 12:42 pmHire a Local CA here, they’ll do it for you. Armchair filings and complaints won’t do anything. Get someone local to file it and sort it out for you.

February 23, 2025 at 1:07 pmHi, Advocate (delhi based) here,
Based on your narrative, I will advise your father to file a Writ Petition in Delhi High Court and make Cyber Crime Police, GST Commissioner Telengana a party to the petition.
This is the fastest way to close it and all these government authorities are amenable to High Court direction. They will have to reply to court notice and then only your pain will go.
Rest if you want tailor made advice, you can ping me.
