April 21, 2025 at 1:47 pmHi everyone,
I’m facing a frustrating situation and need advice.I bought a Panasonic AC (Model: CS-SU18ZKYWT) from Flipkart in May 2023. Just under 2 years later, the indoor coil has failed, and Panasonic is demanding ₹12,000 for repairs.
They offered me a 10% discount as a “goodwill gesture,” but that barely brings it down. In my view, this is a manufacturing defect, not normal wear and tear. I didn’t expect a critical component like the coil to fail so soon in a reputed brand.
I’ve contacted their Twitter support, customer care, and even mailed the service head — no real help yet. Flipkart is also silent.
Do I have a case under consumer protection laws? Is coil failure within 2 years considered premature or defective?
Appreciate any insights, experiences, or guidance on next steps — especially legal recourse, consumer court process, or pressure tactics that actually work.
Thanks in advance.

April 21, 2025 at 1:50 pmIt’s depends on the warranty. Check the warranty or guarantee conditions for the coil.-

April 21, 2025 at 4:28 pmJust call the company and get the details. If there’s no mention about coil then I don’t think there’s nothing much you can do except pay for the repairs
