Panicked after a small accident and left, should I report it?

I was riding my friend’s bike in Bangalore when a car ahead of me suddenly slowed down or stopped. I was going around <40 km/h, and even though I applied the brakes, I couldn’t avoid hitting the back of the car.

After the collision, I stopped briefly(~20 seconds) and checked and found that there appeared to be only a minor bump on the car, and the bike didn’t seem to have any damage. There were two people inside the car, and thankfully no one seemed to be injured.

However, I panicked in the moment and left the scene without speaking to them. Since then, I’ve been feeling quite guilty about it and unsure if I handled the situation properly.

Now I’m confused about what I should do next. Should I file a General Diary (GD) entry or an FIR regarding the incident, or is it okay to let it go given that there was no visible damage or injuries? Also, I’m not a Kannadiga, which makes me a bit more anxious about how to approach this situation.

I’d really appreciate any advice or guidance.
