Passport name correction, will Gazette + docs work without updated marksheet?

Hey, I’m a bit confused about the passport name correction process and could really use some help.

My passport was made using my school marksheet, but both my name and my father’s name are wrong on it. I’ve already fixed my name everywhere else (Aadhaar, PAN, etc.) and also got a Gazette notification done for my name change.

The only issue is my marksheet correction is still in process and might take some time.

So I wanted to ask:

* Can I apply for passport correction using just the Gazette + my updated documents, or will they strictly ask for the corrected marksheet?
* Also for my father’s name, do I need to get a separate Gazette done for that too, or will his correct documents + an affidavit be enough?

If anyone has been through something similar, what did they actually ask for during verification?
