Asking for a friend
Can anybody advise if a person chooses separated/divorced as his marital status what is mentioned in the spouse section of the passport?
Also if a person needs to select separated do we need any document to corroborate the same during appointment?

No documentation is required and no Marital status will be mentioned in the passport.
Just apply as single, leave the spouse section as blank
