Pizza Hut scammed me and many others.

I placed an order through the Pizza Hut app on May 1st at 9:00 PM for two pizzas. I received an email confirming my order and delivery from the Roorkee – Malakpur Chowk outlet (contact: 9643105647). I waited until 10:00 PM, but my order never arrived. When I tried calling the provided outlet number (9643105647), it was switched off. I then contacted customer care (1800 202 2022), but after waiting in the queue for 14 minutes, the call abruptly disconnected as soon as it was my turn.

After checking reviews on the App Store and Truecaller, I noticed that many others have had similar negative experiences. What legal action can I take in this situation? Thank you.

Drop any idea of legal action, you’d have to spend far more than rs 300. Just don’t order again from them

Yeah that would be alright if it was only me but there are many others which could lead to loss in lakhs to the consumers which is not ok

File a consumer complaint citing deficiency in service. You can file this online too.

If possible go to that Pizza Hut ask for manager and tell him to pay the money back, if order was prepaid one. If order was on COD, the leave it write a comment on App Store and move on.

I have already paid the bill of ₹300 to Devyani International Limited as prompted, and I have proof of both the payment and the order. Strangely, I received a message from Pizza Hut stating that my delivery was dispatched at 2:00 PM on May 2nd, which is very odd given that my original order was placed the previous night.

File online complaint regarding the same ( https://consumerhelpline.gov.in/public/ ) and contact bank and ask them to cancel this payment and mark it as fraudulent.

Consumer court costs nothing just file a draft with a lawyer sitting outside if doing it offline or do it yourself online

Yes,You are right but you are saying that OP should invest his time and money in litigation and outcome may or may not be in OP’s favour. Going to the court should be last option.
