April 23, 2025 at 2:44 amNobody can give you a simple yes or no answer because it isn’t legal or illegal. As of now – 23/04/2024 Phenibut HCl is not classified as a controlled substance in India, meaning it is not explicitly illegal. However it isn’t an approved legal substance either.
* It is not approved by the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO) as a medication or dietary supplement.
* That means you cannot legally sell, advertise, or distribute it as a drug or supplement.
* Importation for personal use (in small, clearly non-commercial quantities) may still go through customs, but it’s a legal grey area and not guaranteed—seizures can happen.
TL:DR; **Possession for personal use isn’t explicitly illegal, but it’s not officially authorised either, and importing or using it carries some legal and regulatory risk.**
