POA, living in the US, buying a property in India

Hello, I live in the US and plan to buy a property in India. I plan to give power of attorney to my mother for this purpose. Can anyone who has done it in the past walk me through the steps?

Lawyer here based in Delhi. Do you want to register the conveyance deed in your name or your mother’s.

You won’t be able to get it a registered conveyance deed done directly under your name if you aren’t physically present here.

Advocate this side. There is a very simple process of making a document of a power of attorney. Then you get a stamp paper and get it notarised. That’s literally it.
