Possible to sue news channels, specifically reporter (malayalam), for financial loss due to misinformation?

I was forced to cancel flight and accommodation at goa on short notice with no refund because of fake news about all airports closing down and implication that a total war started. Lost around half a lakh because of this shit.

Is there any way to sue them for this?
