May 7, 2025 at 8:05 pmA family member of mine recently lost a lot of money to a person impersonating as the head of ED and imposing a Digital Arrest. The sum of money lost was quite substantial. We’re wondering if there’s any benefit to filing an official complaint with Cybercrime, RBI etc. The whole event has taken a toll on us and we may not have the required stamina to go through a prolonged investigation that has a high likelihood of leading to nowhere.
If anyone’s been in a similar situation before or knows what the formal process is after filing a complaint and how much of the victims time this could end up consuming would be very helpful.
