April 26, 2025 at 6:05 pmMy great grandfather had a huge house which was later verbally divided among his 5 sons(one of which was my grandfather) now we have been living in the same house for more than 50 year. There has been no official batwara. How will this batwara happen now. We have reconstructed most of the house. -

April 26, 2025 at 7:49 pmAssuming that your great grandfather passed away without a will, the property will be divided into 5 parts and your grandfather will get 1/5 of it. Now, since the property was not self acquired by your grandfather, If your father’ was the only son then you’re lucky and if not then he can’t legally have a will or say and the property will be divided among your father and his siblings.Assuming the property has 10 blocks, 2 will be given to your grandfather. Assuming that your grandfather had two kids, those two blocks will be divided and your father will only inherit one. That one block of your father will be further divided between you and your siblings if you have any
