I am planning to purchase a property in coimbatore, india. The current document of the property has its survey no as 263/4 whereas the parent doc has 263/5. It’s unclear on how the survey no gets changed to 263/4. What are my risks if I go ahead and purchase this propoery? Can this be corrected later? What’s the best way to confirm which survey no is the correct no? Thank you!

This is a very good question. I have this exact same problem in Uttar Pradesh. The state agencies are such dumb MFers.

Would appreciate if a lawyer could respond.
