May 6, 2025 at 6:39 amHi everyone,About 6 months ago, I received a speeding challan while driving through Kullu district, Himachal Pradesh. I’m based out of Delhi NCR, and at the time, I didn’t notice or follow up properly on the challan—thought I’d clear it later online. Turns out, the payment was ignored and now I’ve received a court summons related to that challan.
I have a few questions:
• Do I need to physically appear in court in Himachal, or can I settle this remotely?
• Is it possible to hire a local lawyer in Kullu to handle this on my behalf?Has anyone faced something similar? Would appreciate any advice or next steps from those who’ve been through this. Thanks in advance!
