March 7, 2025 at 8:52 amHi everyone, I have graduated from my BlS LLB Course last year and feel lost as to what should be done after this. I have already enrolled with the State bar and have also appeared for the BCI exam. I have done 1 internship under a well known Criminal Lawyer but thatβs it. I wanted to know from the people who are already working in Litigation. Apart from the 8-10k Salary, I have seen my seniors also getting paid for different things like Surety, dates, etc. My interest is only for Criminal law but the only problem is my family would never understand the bigger picture and will constantly haunt me for getting paid so less. I just wanted to be sure if I would be able to manage my own expenses & how do juniors in Criminal firms earn apart from the salary they receive. -

March 7, 2025 at 10:05 amIn litigation, unless you start in a good firm, your starting salary would be low. You can do things on the side like some drafting work etc. to earn extra cash. It depends on the opportunities you get. However, things change as you gain experience and prove your worth in the cases you handle. Also, once you start your own practice you would be able to earn much more. But it takes time and patience.
