February 24, 2025 at 4:38 pmSo a few month ago, I (25F) paid 3300 rs to an online whatsapp seller who told me that he will deliver the required goods in December. But when December and January came, he stopped all sorts of communication and didn’t refund any money despite me constantly trying to communicate to him.Later I threatened him for cyber complaint against him and actually did two complaints for 1500rs and 1800rs on 25th January against the account to which I had transactioned the money. On 27the January he gave me partial refund of 1500 rs from a different account.
Now the account against which I had filed the complaint is now frozen and the seller called me saying they will pay the full money back since the money is on hold and all I need to do is take the complaint back (which I can’t since it was converted to an FIR and now a closed case).
When I told the same he told me he will instead file complaint against me for the 1500 rs he had refunded from the different account.
So I need help, should I take the complaint back by going to the police station. And can he go complaint against me for that 1500rs amount and is there a chance my account can get frozen too?

February 24, 2025 at 4:41 pmDon’t take the complaint back. The FIR is already closed, and you did nothing wrong. If he really wants to refund, he can do it directly. His threat about filing a complaint against you is just pressure tactics. Your account wonβt get frozen unless thereβs actual fraud, which isnβt the case here. Stay firm.-

February 24, 2025 at 4:43 pmOkay, but the thing is he has refunded the partial amount from different bank account… What if he complaints a cyber complaint in regards to that transaction and says that I took the money and is not my fault?-

February 25, 2025 at 5:09 amTransfer your money now to another trusted account at the earliest so that even if your account gets frozen you’ll still have access to your money.-

February 25, 2025 at 12:22 amJust to be on safer side, empty your account and keep only minimum balance. So that in worst case scenario the account is frozen you have your money available with you. -

February 24, 2025 at 7:37 pmNAL.No need to do anything. Ask him to refund the remaining + legal and logistic charges + mental harassment. Make some big amount like 50k atleast. Then only think of next course of action. For taking back complaint, ask him to reach the police station and do it together. Police will extort some more money off of him. That should teach him a nice lesson to not scam anyone.
