UWe gave a small shop for rent and learned that the renter is running away from police. It has been almost 6 months and we were hoping that one day he will come and take away the stuff from the shop.
We don’t want to lose rental money on the shop anymore and want to break the lock and curious to know if we will run into any legal issues.
We don’t have a rental lease and he always paid us in cash.
Please suggest if there will be any legal issues and also need suggestions on how long to hold his stuff before we throw it or sell it. TIA.
