May 8, 2025 at 1:25 amCan I get my parent’s name changes in my 10th and 12th marksheet? There is a very minor mistake in there. Also can it be changed now since I have graduated just this year. -

May 8, 2025 at 1:45 amYou can but its a long process, you’ll have to visit your education board office, then they’ll tell you the process, you’ll need money time and patience..If you need to do that because any of your government ID has different name, you should change it in government ID thats way easier.

May 8, 2025 at 1:47 amBut then the name has to be changed in many government IDs along with my dad’s document. Wouldn’t that be far more tense?-

May 8, 2025 at 4:04 amidk scenarios where it is required with such scrutiny so depending on your use case you may be able to get away with simply photoshopping it. if it is being used simply as a superficial checking layer in another process and the mistake is as minor as you state it to be, i canβt imagine someone noticing or making a fuss about it. the process behind what you want is unlikely to come easy and may not be worth it. i donβt believe my comment breaks any rules but mods lmk if that is the case.-

OP
May 8, 2025 at 4:12 amThe mistake is not even in the spelling it’s the fricking space ππ like in other documents the name x y z whereas in marksheets it’s xy z and y is not the middle name it’s with the x. It’s just it got written as x y z in the initial documents. I am just scared that such discrepancy won’t make me ineligible for competitive exams and also for passport.-

May 8, 2025 at 4:49 amhighly recommend consulting someone in the actual fields regarding this. given how common middle name surname discrepancies are in India I doubt such a minor issue can affect any processes for you especially when all the actual identification documents have your details correct, as I understand this marksheet is used simply to consult marks of the specified person and a spacing issue wonβt create grounds for disqualifications. i wouldnβt have been this worried about it in the first place but my opinion is simply anecdotal, do post in some relevant sub to get confirmation
