I am applying for EWS certificate for my higher study, also satisfying all other conditions mentioned for EWS certificate.

Now RI saying since my rented house is above 1000 Sq. ft. I will not be eligible for EWS anymore.

“Person whose family owns or POSSESSES residental flaat of 1000 sq. ft. above is excluded to be consider as EWS.” This is one of the written rule of EWS.

As per her the since we are not owning but POSSESSING a rented we will be excluded.

My request is what is the definition of POSSESSING in legal term?

Any example about the difference between Owning and Possessing?
