RPO and PSK should be same in passport application?

So, I am applying for passport but the thing is that I am not at my permanent address (mentioned in all my documents), I reside in a different state (have a rent agreement but it has expired on Dec’24 and we havent renewed it yet).

So, my question is while applying for passport under RPO selection, should I select my current city which is Pune or my permanent address?

As per a 2018 initiative

“For example, a resident of Jaipur, who is temporarily residing in Kolkata, will now be able to apply at a PSK/POPSK under RPO, Kolkata, and does not have to travel all the way back to Jaipur to submit an application for passport at a PSK/POPSK under RPO, Jaipur. The police verification, if necessary, would be conducted at Jaipur. RPO, Kolkata, would print and despatch the passport at the address specified in the passport application form.”
