April 27, 2025 at 4:48 amHi. Long story, so had to take the help of AI. Here it goesDespite being removed by an overwhelming majority in the General Body Meeting (GBM), the outgoing Management Committee (MC) has refused to accept the members’ decision, actively obstructing the transition to the Interim MC. They attempted to sabotage the GBM by denying access to the venue, forcing members to conduct the meeting under a tree to uphold democratic principles. After the GBM, the ousted MC further escalated matters by disputing the GBMโs validity and misleading the bank, resulting in the societyโs account being placed on hold.
So, what can be done in the above case? Society has no access to funds to pay for security agency, employees, fuel, electricity bill, water bill etc

April 27, 2025 at 5:34 amAdvocate based out of Hyderabad here. It’s advisable that you immediately approach a local lawyer who understands the RWA laws and who deals with such cases. The by laws of the RWA have to be gone through to give you a comprehensive advice in this situation.
Facts that you have narrated are extremely limited, however, from what I understand there are two options (1) suit against the RWA (this will depend on a host of factors, and a thorough understanding of the RWA by laws), and (2) complaint against the formed MC before the Registrar of Societies.
