May 5, 2026 at 5:12 amHi All,Need some advice on what is required for safe entry to India based on the background and current situation as explained below. Male here.
**Background:**
I have had a long standing disputed divorce case ongoing in Kolkata courts.
498A, DV, the whole lot. Due to this
I am and have been for past many years outside India and warrants and Look Out Circulars were issued.**Current Status**
We have come to a settlement. I pay her a certain some of money and she has already withdrawn the cases. I need to go back to India now for making financial arrangements and eventually the divorce. My lawyer has said that he will scan me certified copies of the case withdrawals. And I can keep these on my phone and can show at the airport in case the police catches me. Once in, then i do need to be presented before the judge for officially dropping the criminal case (as it cannot simply be withdrawn by the complainant)
**My question – what is the proper process for this ? Just having scanned certified copies of case withdrawal sounds rather casual to me. Do I need any other document or anything else?**
