Today, my father got a call from someone pretending to be from SBI Credit Cards. They told him there were charges for an “insurance plan” on his card. Worried, he asked how to remove them. The caller sent a link via WhatsApp, and he filled in some details. At the end, he was asked for an OTP, which he entered. Shortly after, ₹75,000 was deducted from his account.

He received a few automated calls from SBI asking if he made the transaction, which he denied. He immediately called the helpline, raised a dispute within 10-20 minutes, and blocked the card. We’ve also filed a complaint with the cyber police.

What else can we do to recover the money, and what are the chances of getting it back

You did your part , now let the bank handle the hassle , most likely the bank will reverse the money (something related to that)
