February 9, 2025 at 4:55 amI befriended someone who later asked for money. Believing he genuinely needed help, I lent him a significant amount. A few months later, I discovered he was a scammer and had been doing this for a long time. I contacted his family, but they refused to help. The transaction was made online, and I also have some form of agreement with him via email. It’s been two years, and despite repeatedly asking for my money back, he remains unresponsive. His phone is switched off, his location is unknown, and only his Instagram is active. Is there anything I can do? -

February 9, 2025 at 5:47 amLawyer here. How much was the amount which you lent. There are multiple ways to approach it. Some are time taking but ethical, some may be shorter.-

February 9, 2025 at 8:20 amIn that case, you should definitely lawyer up and put efforts in recovering that amount. Choose your lawyer wisely though.-
