BI need advice on should I or should I not report about 3 abandoned cars parked outside my society in Greater Noida. I am a bit scared to report it to the police since you know how they are, They’ll shoot the messenger first and then ask questions. I know I should not stereotype it but this is the image that they have created.
So back in 2023, I noticed a Maruti 800 parked outside my Society, it was a rare sighting hence I remember it so clearly. Then for almost a week I saw that car parked in the exact same position. Normally people park and then they leave in a few days, but this car was unmoved, so much so that the car got covered in dust and bird droppings. and within 6-8 months I saw a pamphlet pasted on it window. then last year, I saw a Mahindra XUV parked next to it. Same thing happened to it, and now in December last year, a Maruti Alto was parked next to it.
All 3 cars are covered in dust & bird droppings and they tyres deflated. I suspect that these cars are stolen and were used in some or other crimes and have been dumped here.
I fear if this continues, this would become an active dumping ground if it has not already become.
Please suggest what are my options and how can I report it to authorities without myself getting in some legal trouble or any trouble with the police.
