BMy relative was recently involved in an accident near Rakshak Chowk, Aundh, Pune, caused by a reckless driver from the opposite side who was speeding. The offender crashed into them and then fled the scene without taking responsibility.
Fortunately, the accident was not major and there was no serious head injury, thanks to the helmet. However, my relative did suffer a fractured hand.
I’m determined to ensure the offender is held accountable and to secure fair compensation for the harm caused. I’m considering registering an FIR at the nearest police station—will this be helpful? Also, how can I obtain CCTV footage from the area to help identify the vehicle and the driver?
