Hello Members,

I need an advice. What steps can we take if a flat owner in an apartment has kept tenants without any police verification.

The tenants in my society are causing great trouble, and when called to the flat owner.

The flat owner says it’s not his responsibility. He has kept the tenants without any police verification

Kindly advice what actions can I take

Police verification of tenants is not mandatory in most parts of the country. Check the bylaws of your housing community regarding this matter. If the bylaws require police verification for tenants, you can raise a complaint with the society/management to initiate legal action.
