UThis happened yesterday. I’m feeling absolutely confused and guilty.
Im 30M and I consume porn frequently and while scouring the many subReddits here I got many discord links I wanted to see how that works joined some servers and saw some porn being posted. Couple of days went by and yesterday night I was just looking at the latest drop of the videos (so some person will post videos on a periodic basis – it’s mostly got from other server it’s just shared…) and I found a video of a girl I know from there. I have worked with her so I know her mostly in professional setting so I’m not a very close friend as such but we have also gone to some common friend’s events etc.
The video is of her recording herself in a very private and intimate fashion probably for herself or somebody close to her for whatever reason. I highly doubt there’s a chance of her knowing or wanting this video to be out there in open. I had requested the person posted to remove it and asked said person for the source he simply said he just collected from another server which has got nuked now. I have also downloaded the videos(there were 2 videos no photos) and taken screenshot of the chat where posted in case required for any legal etc.
I really want to call her up and inform but i don’t want to
1. Make her feel violated by me. I want the right words.
2. I feel guilty like myself have done this to her..
3. Maybe because of people like me she is being a victim as if no one consumed no one would have supplied.What do I do? How do I fix things… please help me…

I screenshoted it all and Dames that girl over insta.. apparently it was her ex.. she turns out to be a hot shot.. highcourt lawyer.. a good one on top of that.. case went viral.. almost all Youtubers were sharing it.. police was forcing me to come to local police station and say everything in person.. otherwise they’ll come to my home..
I was minor back then so I said max I would do is answer every questionaire over mail.. and my parents shouldn’t be involved in any case.. I turned out to be lucky and that police guy understood.. I really dodged a bullet..

UI don’t like half the advice given here. I won’t appeal to your conscience or guilt trip you into telling her. You should tell her because it is in her best interest and you should tell her to approach the Women’s helpline or NGO to sort this issue out. I had a friend who had her morphed pictures leaked online and being her friend, I knew how distraught she was. But in the long run she says that atleast she knew and could do something about it.
Also guys. Please don’t share nudes of your loved ones. IF it were to happen to you imagine how you’d feel. Now 10x that. That’s how bad it would be for a woman socially.

In a nutshell, a girls trusted a man, sent him a video. Other men are now blaming her and her own colleague is considering it to let it be. And then men says “not all men”

Third, if you are much concerned, then try to send an anonymous email from a new email created in a net centre to avoid your ip details and mac details.
Fourth, you can file a cyber complaint online without informing anyone.

PTalk to her face to face and tell her you have found something on the internet that is something personal and you don’t know how to tell because it’s a sensitive issue. You just want her to know that someone is leaking her personal data on internet that was probably meant to be private . You are telling her so that she can figure out how to deal with that person. If she wants to file charges against humor not it’s upto her but you were horrified and had no heart to tell her.

UMajority of the comments here highlight exactly what’s wrong with society. If you believe she didn’t post those videos herself, you have a moral responsibility to let your friend know. Otherwise you’ll be failing her as a friend. Assomeone else pointed out, make sure to take screenshots of all chats and who posted it. Delete it from your device. Have that conversation over a safe platform and choose your words wisely. And document everything just in case she decides to take legal action

UHi. Had this happen to a friend of mine.
1. Tell her that it exists..do not tell her that you watched the entirety of it.
2. In no way have you propagated the videos so essentially you will not come under legal trouble.
3. If you are concerned, take the help of a lawyer to understand implications.Two personal notes
1. This is not legal but something to prep yourself for. Your friendship with this person may cease or become better. Cease because she will be embarrassed . Become better because she may trust you better.
2. Wean yourself.away from scouring all depths of the earth to watch porn since it’s absolutely unhealthy in the long run. -

UAccess mailinator or any temporary email service using TOR (that’s important) and send email to all her email ids you know of. This way you can make her aware and also keep yourself out of this. In addition, report the profile and videos to the website and get it removed. Write email in polite way informing your feelings as well as console her and also telling her that you reported this already and it should be removed soon.

UWell i assume we call this in Hindi duniya gol hai we weren’t afraid for anyone you knew until you saw her video and now you are afraid what if this happens to someone from your own family or very close of yours the guilt is natural but you should inform her and tell her all the raw truth and help her out and consult a lawyer

HDon’t say anything. I remember me and my friend were in car waiting at a signal near Pragati Maidan at New Delhi. Infront of us, there was a bike with the girl sitting on the back seat.
