Should gig platforms be legally required to show real-time pricing to partners?

Feels like most platforms run on “trust us” pricing. Drivers, restaurants, sellers, their earnings change constantly, but the logic behind it isn’t really clear. If someone’s income depends on your system, shouldn’t they at least see how pricing is being decided (even at a basic level)?
Or is that just part of how these platforms are supposed to work?
