February 25, 2025 at 6:04 amqualifications : I have done my Bcom in 2023, have 1 year of work experience in finance consulting.I am currently 23 and will turn 24 this year. I am currently confused if I should switch to law as a career or continue in finance/consulting etc
My options are doing a 3 year LLB but the thought of leaving my job and being dependent on my family is really bothersome as I have been financially independent now.
Alternatively I was thinking of doing bachelors in law from UK and giving their solicitors exams. I have acceptance from 2 universities.
Third option is to do CA, I had cleared my foundation and dropped so my parents are asking me to continue but that is also a rigorous path that will take another 3-4 years.
My parents are asking to do this or do law as my parents are lawyers and I will be a third generation lawyer but I donβt want to get into litigation or work with them. Even if I do law I want to get into corp law but I have heard work life balance in Law is not great and pay is also not that great compared to CA or MBACan anyone give me career advice?
Would like some guidance!
