March 29, 2025 at 6:23 amHi guys I’m (22F) working in Delhi. I used this simpl app when I was in Chandigarh and I never paid them back. It’s been more than 1.5 years. They didn’t send me any messages but out of the blue, they are sending me message that they are going to report me to the government authorities. My bill is 3457, even though I sent them online that simple is not approved by RBI. Is it possible that they can take action legally what should I do? -

March 29, 2025 at 6:46 amI wanted to return the money, but there is no option to return the money in small amount and I was a student at that time. That’s why.-

March 29, 2025 at 6:48 amNAL. They always have upi option to replay. How much are they asking now? I guess they would have added the interest as well.-

March 29, 2025 at 6:53 amI tried doing that, but I have to pay the whole amount in one go, so that’s why I didn’t pay them yet. Also, the amount is same 3457. That’s it-

March 29, 2025 at 6:55 amPay it and have ur mental peace back. No reason to avoid paying back because of bs reasons like they r not RBI approved etc. you didn’t have problem with their RBI approval while taking the money

March 29, 2025 at 10:31 am1. As far as I know, Simpl does not report to credit bureaus, but they have had a major overhaul, so their behaviour has changed; they have become much more aggressive.2. The only option they have is to file a civil suit for recovery, and for an amount so small, it does not make much sense.
3. Depending on the documents you have provided them, they may continue to contact you, and they might also send a field agent to your mentioned address.
4. There have been instances of them mining user data for image-disparaging tactics, but they appear to have stopped now.
5. I would advise you to save up money and negotiate the TPAs or OCCEs for the removal of penal charges.
