Sole Proprietorship for an agency

Hey folks, I am looking to start a software consultancy and was wondering which registration makes most sense. I will be starting from one person (just me) and aiming on taking deals from overseas. I am not looking to raise funds or take loans in near future. I am looking to register it under a different name (than ones related to my name.)

I know sole-proprietorship makes most sense for me but I have some queries

1. Is there a process to register the sole-proprietorship with some govt/central body? Is there a way without registering for MSME, GST etc. i.e. being minimal.
2. Can I draft client contracts, hiring contracts etc. under sole-proprietorships?
3. Can I get a pan card under my firm’s name? what are the benefits of that (considering I can use my own PAN)
4. Would I need to go through softex etc to be able to fetch money to my own account?
