Someone has filed a cyber complaint on me and funds are blocked from my account

I called up my bank and received the acknowledgment number for the cyber complaint. They also asked to call at 1930 to further investigate the reason. They helped with cyber police number to be contacted. But, that no response from that number. Someone from Chattisgarh has filed a complaint. I live in a completely different state far away from Chattisgarh? How to deal with this? Has anyone faced this before? How to proceed with this. The bank said it can only provide acknowledgement number and I have to talk to the concerned person. But, the number I received is of no use. Can people randomly file a cyber complaint?

I have no idea. It was for some transaction from last year, in October. Who complains after a whole 6 months? It was some online transaction I paid.

This was a common scam 1-2 years back in Kerala. The customers of federal bank were mostly affected. Many of the merchants account got frozen stating that they received money(usually the UPI payments which they get from customers in shops) and this customer was part of some scam and hence this merchants account will be frozen

All these cases were reported from gujrat. The bank officials will eventually pass the contact number of these officials and then the bargaining used to start.

Many reported that these policemen knew exactly how much money was in their account and they demanded a share of that money. People who had their entire business expenses blocked in the account had no other way but to send this bribe and unlock it.
