January 14, 2025 at 12:12 pmYesterday when I was returning back to my Pg from my office someone stole my phone from the auto rickshaw I was traveling from.
Filed an e-FIR, registered a complaint to block the IMEI, and made a complaint on the Samsung website (the phone was from Samsung). -

January 14, 2025 at 12:33 pmIf it’s an android phone, police can’t track it using IMEI until it’s switched on. And the thief will wipe out the OS before doing that.If it’s an iphone, there’s a chance you might get it back in 3-5 days. But only if the police looks into it.
Speaking from my experience talking to a police inspector in Mumbai.
