May 3, 2026 at 6:42 pmIβm asking for my friendβs behalf..I am involved in a business of booking flight tickets. Recently, due to delays in payment from passengers, several temporary PNR bookings were not confirmed in time and got released. When I attempted to rebook those tickets, the fares had increased significantly, often nearly double the original price.
During April, this issue occurred multiple times, resulting in higher booking costs. To manage these losses, I used funds received from customers for May bookings to cover the increased costs of April tickets.
At present, I understand that this situation may raise concerns, especially if any customer chooses to approach consumer court. I am fully willing to refund any customer payments; however, I require some time to arrange the funds.
I would like guidance on:
The possible legal consequences I may face in such a situation.
The best steps I can take to protect myself legally and ethically.
How to communicate transparently with customers while I arrange refunds.
This matter is being handled in good faith, and my intention is to resolve all dues responsibly.
