Stolen vehicle Damages.

Hi. My bike stolen in 2022 from Delhi has been found in haryana under a case. Can I get the proceedings done in Delhi if by any means ? Can I get the compensation for the damages caused to my property from the accused in that case ?

Lawyer here based in Delhi. If you had had registered a lost/stolen f.i.r in Delhi then the case would be continued here only. But if your case property was found in Haryana and has been entangled with some other case which that their was committing, then it would be a different story. Nonetheless you could get your vehicle released. Also, it would be unrealistic and wasteful of you to file for damages against the accused, but technically you can.
