January 16, 2025 at 4:04 pmI have encountered one incident while taking pictures in street in Pune. Police car approached me and told me it is offence to take pictures of people. I have showed them my photographs there were people in them but none of them were clearly visible/face not visible. they obviously wanted money so they pushed me hard to go with them to police station and I was scared but I argued a lot about there were no people in my photos. Ultimately after 30 mins of talk they finally told me to get out of there. This happened in Pune, Hinjewadi Phase 1 today. My question is, I am a newbie street photographer. How can I handle these kind of situations in future?

January 16, 2025 at 4:24 pmIdiots just harassing you. There is no such rule. If that was true CCTV cameras would be illegal as well. -

January 17, 2025 at 7:19 am1 was once told having 1+ email ID is illegal per IT act and was harassed. All this happened because I complained on them through twitter on my local area police corrupt practices through my fake secondary account. -
