PSo i was dating this girl and I was interested to marry her. She comes from a very conservative household. Recently her mom came across her chats and there was some sexting from both sides and she called me up. She proceeded to mention that she would file a fake case against me and she also mentioned my sister who lives in the same town as them as a threat. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to record the call. Is it possible to take any legal action in this case.

PThere is nothing you can say that can convince her bro. You are a stranger to her.. its all upto your gf..Let things cool down. Then ask your gf to convey her side & feeling. If not mom then try to convince other members of her family. If no one is supporting you guys..then there nothing more you guys can do.

POkay if thats the case…then I dont think there is any case or FIR she can do as long as the sexting was consensual . She probably just said to scare you off. If you backout then there is no reason for her to pursue you

OP better to forget about it and move on.
If she files any legal case against you then you are cooked. Though you will get justice in court but it will take 2-4 years for it.

UThe best way forward is for her to move away from her parents. When you live on your own, you have automatic independence.
Also, mothers aren’t that strong physically. She shouldn’t take the abuse silently.

CThere’s nothing to worry unless the girl you’re with is someone who’d swap sides on her comfort.
Even in a scenario of a case, if the adults are in consent your lawyer can make a case of just an unhappy crazy over controlling mother who wants to regulate all steps of her daughter’s life.You should focus on your girlfriend’s words and actions.

Ask the girl to deal with her mother. If she can’t, leave her because that means her mother will FOREVER be a nuisance in case you and the girl end up getting married. If it happens, the girl will eventually have to take side of her mother (it will happen) and your marriage will become a pain to say the least.
Another thing – get an MI or poco phone. They have call recording function where the other person isn’t made aware that the call is being recorded. I think every other phone says the ‘this call is now being recorded’ once you press record and it let’s both you and the person on the other side know that the call is being recorded. You wouldn’t find that issue in MI or poco phones…
But….yeah, your best bet is to break off with that girl

CThis case thing is just to scare you off that you stay away from her , alot of parents when they come to know first time about the relationships of their daughter, they will say something absurd in hopes that the BF backs out. Her mother is saying to back out but idk what will happen if you continue dating her because if she finds out again then its i cant guarantee anything lol

I m sorry this happened to you because this sort same thing happened to me, when I was dating this chick and her father found out about relationship and back then we were teenagers, and her father was lawyer lol, the father said you and your family have to come to police station and said he was gonna file case and back then I was naive I thought now I m fucked and I thought I will be in jail or something lol. But when I reached the station the constable just scolded me and said that stay away from the girl but this was done to scare me off and that day I just realized that Indian parents will do anything to scare you off.
