January 28, 2025 at 3:17 pmHello, I had a gaming cafe I wanted to sell and a person gave me 30k as earnest money and the remaining 4.2 Lacs were given to me 12 days later via cheque after I specifically had asked for a demand draft. They told me a DD would cost him 2.5k extra and he assured me the cheque wouldn’t bounce. He texted me late at night that he wants to back out of the business after acquiring all my customer data, 3 days of my revenue as he had placed an employee of his between 24-26th January and because of him I had lost my time and money as I had to move to another city to tend to another business. Now today his cheque bounced due to insufficient funds and I’m thinking of filing a case against him for cheque bounce as well as intent to fraud as he has cost me a significant amount of time and money, pretended to buy the cafe and at the end moment he backed out. I incurred a lot of losses with not just time but also money as I would have to pay this month’s rent, electricity and other operating costs of the cafe. -
