March 16, 2025 at 9:44 amWhile checking a few products from a e-com website(stayclassy) I was checking discount offers in my card of the website and during that I somehow autofilled the website with otp and the products got booked. I was unaware of this whole thing while it happened and only found out when I recieved the product.
(Note: they only have my number and maybe the address from the delivery. My credit score hasn’t been affected nor anything like that)
When I found it out I tried to return it but the website didn’t take payments and then I contacted the app as it sent me mails telling me that I have to pay 800rs(680+interest) to them. I informed them that I didn’t authorise any payment and they replied they take otp varification as authorised payment. I complaint about it on cyber crime and rbi when I found out and told the whole situation but it’s been 3 months and they didn’t respond back.A few days ago they sent me a sms saying the’ll give me field visit which got me worried cause I’m a student living with my parents so I contacted cyber crime again and they told me to do a local complaint at a Cyber Crime police station.
Should I go along with this and do a complaint? Or can I just ignore it as they don’t have any proper complaint against me. I have that product unused as I recieved it with the packaging.
Help me if you have any kind of advice about it. -
