Unauthorized Insurance Claim Using My Payment Receipts

A few months ago, my mother needed an urgent surgery. My elder brother admitted her to a private hospital since he is employed and has group insurance from his employer. However, the insurance claim was initially rejected, and he hesitated to pay. I am currently unemployed, but seeing the circumstances I had to arrange the funds myself and paid the entire bill.

I have now come to knw that my brother later submitted a reimbursement claim with his company using my payment receipts (without my knowledge) and has already received the amount. I was ok to cover the expenses, but I am not ok with him claiming reimbursement for the money I paid.

I don’t think he knows that I am aware of the reimbursement, and I am not comfortable asking him for money that is rightfully mine. I want to consider legal action, but I am unsure how far to take it, especially since I don’t want to upset my mother. At the same time, I want my brother to understand that what he did was wrong. Could anyone pls advise on the legal actions i can take?
